About Us
At Aspen Leaf Preschool, we aim to provide the highest quality early education to our children by fostering deep and lasting relationships among the children, their families, and their teachers; promoting a love of learning through play, curiosity, and exploration; and fostering each child’s social and emotional development through positive discipline and positive interactions that promote self-esteem and self-sufficiency.
Aspen Leaf Preschool was founded in 2012 by Bridget Heffernan, a lifelong preschool teacher. Aspen Leaf was created to be the kind of school where she would want to work, and where she would send her own child. Aspen Leaf looks for “teacher’s teachers” – preschool teachers who bring passion, dedication, and heart into the classroom.
Aspen Leaf Preschool now has four locations in central San Diego: Hillcrest, North Park, University Heights, and Downtown.
