Dear current and soon-to-be Aspen Leaf-BTM families,
Members of the parent board and I will hold a community-wide town hall on Tuesday, June 2nd, at 9:00am and 5:30pm. It will be in the building (room TBD) and streamed via Zoom. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
What: Aspen Leaf-BTM town hall regarding future of the center/tuition
Day: Tuesday, June 2, 2026
Times: 9:00am & 5:30pm (same presentation at both times – no need to attend both)
Where: In the building, but room TBD / also will be streamed via Zoom
The primary purpose of the town hall will be for me to explain the difficult financial position downtown has been in the last couple of years (primarily due to public TK) and will continue to be in, and to explain the available options going forward. Nothing has been decided—this town hall will genuinely be to explain, “Here is the problem. Here are all the potential solutions. Here’s how we’re analyzing the possibilities.”
So there is no unnecessary worry, I want to be clear right now that the center will not be shutting down. Some significant change is required to ensure the preschool is viable, though, and Aspen Leaf and the parent board agree that all the families and staff should be looped in on those discussions. This town hall will be an opportunity to hear about the issues and possible solutions, ask questions, and provide feedback.
